Վաստակավոր կոլեկտիվ
Հայաստանի պետական ֆիլհարմոնիկ նվագախումբ Սկզբնավորվել է 1925-ին որպես Երևանի կոնսերվատորիայի սիմֆոնիկ նվագախումբ: Տարբեր տարիների նվագախումբը գլխավորել են Ա.Ադամյանը, Ա.Սպենդիարյանը,Ս.Չա- րեքյանը, Գ.Բուդաղյանը, Կ.Սարաջյանը, Մ.Մալունցյանը, Օ. Դուրյանը, Մ.Տերյանը, Ռ. Վարդանյանը, Ա. Քաթանյանը, Դ.Խանջյանը, ՎԳերգիևը,Վ.Պապյանը, Մ.Ավետիսյանը և Լ.Ճգնավորյանը։ 2000 թվականի հոկտեմբերից ՀՊՖՆ-ի գեղարվեստական ղեկավարը և գլխավոր դիրիժորն է Էդուարդ Թոփչյանը: Նվագախումբը դարձել է արևմտաեվրոպա- կան, ռուսական և հայ երաժշտության սիմֆոնիկ գործերի տարածողը։ Այս կոլեկտիվի հետ ելույթ են ունեցել Դավիթ Օյստրախը, Սվյատոսլավ Ռիխտերը, Մստիսլավ Ռոստրո- պովիչը, Ռենատո Բրուզոնը, Սթիվեն Իսերլիսը, Դավիդ Գերինգասը, Բերնդ Գլեմզերը, Ֆրանսուա-Ժոել Տիոլիեն և այլ հյուրեկ արտիստներ, ինչպես և Հայաստանի առաջատար մենակատարներ և սկսնակ խոստումնալից երաժիշտներ: Նվագախմբի ելույթները ղե- կավարել են Ալեքսանդր Մելիք-Փաշայանը, Վիլլի Ֆեռերոն, Ֆրանց Կոնվիչնին,Կուրտ Մազուրը և այլ հայտնի դիրիժորներ: Հեղինակային համերգներով հանդես են եկել Ա.Խա- չատրյանը, Դ․ Կաբալևսկին և այլ կոմպոզիտորներ Սկսած 1989-ից նվագախումբը հա- մերգներով հանդես է եկել ԱՄՆ-ում,Կանադայում, Ավստրիայում, Գերմանիայում,Ֆրա- նսիայում,Շվեյցարիայում, Լյուքսեմբուրգում, Լիբանանում, Իսպանիայում,Պորտուգալի- այում, Անգլիայում, Հունաստանում, Իրանում,Կիպրոսում, Թուրքիայում,ԱՄԷ-ում և այլ երկրներում: Թողարկվել են նվագախմբի կատարումով ավելի քան 30 ձայներիզներ: 2000/01թթ. համերգաշրջանում ՀՊՖՆ-ն է Թոփչյանի ղեկավարությամբ հաջողությամբ հանդես է եկել Մոսկվայում և Բեռլինում:2003-ի հունվարին ՀՊՖՆ-ն մասնակցել է «Արամ Խաչատրյանի երաժշտության միջազգային տարվա» բացմանը Մոսկվայում: 2006-2007թթ. համերգաշրջանում կայացան ՀՊՖՆ-ի հյուրախաղերը Չեխիայում և Ֆրանսիայում։
Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra
The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1925 as a symphony orchestra of the Yerevan Conservatory. Over the years, conductors – A Adamian, A. Spendiarian, S.Charekian, G.Budaghian, K. Saradjian, M. Maluntsian, O.Durian, M.Terian, R. Vardanian, A.Katanian, D.Khandjian, V.Gergiev, VPapian, M.Avetissian and LTjeknavorian_directed_the_orchestra In October 2000 Eduard Topchjan was appointed the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the APO. Since its foundation, the orchestra has performed mostof the classical repertoire. Many of the world's leading artists such as D. Oistrach, S. Richter, M. Rostropovich, R.Bruson, S.Isserlis, D Geringas, B.Glemser, F-J. Thiollier and others, aswellppeared with this orchestra. A. Melik- Pashayev, V. Ferrero, F.Konvichny, K. Masur and several other composers have conducted the orchestra. A. Khachaturian, D. Kabalevsky and other composers have conducted their works with the accompaniment of the Armenian Philharmonic Since 1989 the APO has toured extensively throughout the USA, Canada,Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Lebanon, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Greece, Iran, Cyprus, Turkey, UAE and other countries. More than 30 CDs have been released with the orchestras_recordings. During 2000-2001 season the APO directed by E. Topchjan had successful performances in Moscow and Berlin. In 2006-2007 concert season the APO toured the Czech Republic and France.

Ուրախալի է, որ ընթացիկ աշունը Հայաստանում նշա- նավորվում է մշակութային բազմազան միջոցառումնե- րով, որոնց մեջ ուրույն տեղ և դեր ունեն փառատոները։ Սիրով ողջունում եմ Երևանյան առաջին միջազգա-
յին երաժշտական փառատոնի մեկնարկը, որը, համոզված եմ, դառնալու է Հայաստանի համերգային կյանքի լուրջ և նշանակալի մի իրադարձություն։
Փառատոնի հայտարարած բովանդակալից ծրագիրը՝ դասական և ժամանակակից գործերի ընդգրկմամբ, սիմֆոնիկ և կամերային համերգների գեղեցիկ համադրությամբ, համաշխարհային համբավ վայելող երաժիշտների մասնակցությամբ բերկրանք է խոս- տանում հանդիսատեսին :
Հայաստանը,որի երաժիշտները միշտ զարդարել և այսօր էլ զարդարում են ամենահե- ղինակավոր փառատոների բեմահարթակները, ներկայումս ձևավորում է իր ուրույն փա- ռատոնային համակարգը։
Հաջողություն եմ մաղթում փառատոնին,նրա կազմակերպիչներին և մասնակիցներին, իսկ արվեստասերներին ցանկանում գեղեցիկի հետ հանդիպման երջանիկ պահեր:

Երևանի համերգասրահներն ինչպես անցյալ տասնամյակներին, այնպես էլ վերջին տարիներին ժամանակ առ ժամանակ հյուրընկալել են համաշխարհային հռչակ ունեցող երաժիշտների: Նրանք հանդես են եկել նվագախմբերի հետ և մենա- համերգներով՝ անմոռանալի պահեր պարգևելով հայ ունկնդիրներին: Մեր հիշողության մեջ երկար կմնան հատկապես վերջերս հյուրախաղերով Երևան ժամանած Տիոլիեի, Գերինգասի, Բրուզոնի, Մայսկու, Գլեմզերի և այլ երևելի կատարողների ելույթները: Այս տեսանկյունից Երևանյան առաջին միջազգային փառատոնն առանձնահատուկ է նրանով, որ միջոցառման շրջանակներում համերգներ կունենան միանգամից մի քանի հռչակավոր երաժիշտներ և համաշխարհային համեր- գասրահներում արդեն իսկ ճանաչում գտնող խոստումնալից երիտասարդներ: Սիրով ողջունում ենք փառատոնի բոլոր մասնա- կիցներին և հույս հայտնում, որ սա հերթական կարևոր քայլը կլինի Հայաստանի՝ համաշ- խարհային կատարողական արվեստի բնագա- վառում ընդգրկվելու և թեկուզ իր համեստ, բայց կայուն տեղը հաստատելու ուղղությամբ:

The Autumn in Armenia is delightfully marked with many cultural events with various festivals among them.
I would like to welcome the launching of the First Yerevan International Music Festival which I believe will become a serious and significant event in the musical life of Armenia.
The diverse programming of the Festival, including works of classical and contemporary com- posers, to be performed by the symphony and chamber orchestras as well as the world famous guest artists, promise to be memorable for our audiences.
Currently, Armenia is founding its own festival system, while the Armenian musicians have always appeared in different prestigious International music festivals.
I wish success to this Fesival, its organizers and participants. Also, I would like to wish many happy musical moments to our art-loving audiences.

Over the course of past decades and recent years the Yerevan concert venues have welcomed many world-known musicians who I have featured with the symphony orchestras and recitals, granting unforgettable musical moments to the Armenian audience. We will keep long in our memory the impeccable performances_of_Thiollier, Geringas, Bruson, Maisky, Glemser and many other celebrities. From this point of view, the First Yerevan International Music Festival is unique in that a number of already established, internationally acclaimed soloists will appear along with promising young musicians.
We cordially greet all participants of the Festival and hope that this undertaking will become an important step in the way of Armenia's integration into the world's performing art events and for establishing its, even though modest, but stable place in this sphere.

Ծնվել է 1969-ին Օֆենբուրգում (Գերմանիա)։ Որպես ջութակահար և դիրիժոր սովորել է Ֆրայբուրգում և Վիեննայում։1995-ին արժանացել է Կարայանի հիմնա- դրամի կրթաթոշակի: 1998-ին նշանակվել է Բրաունշվայ- գի թատրոնի երաժշտական ղեկավար:

Ծնվել է Կրայլսհայմում։ Ուսանել է Շտուտգարտում Օտտո Հերմանի և Հանովերում՝ Հանց Դայնցերի ղեկավարությամբ: 1989-ից դասավանդում է Կառլսռուհեի երաժշտական բարձրագույն դպրոցում, որի ռեկտորն է 2001-ից: Որպես մենակատար նվիրված պրոպագանդում է ժամանակակից կոմպոզիտորների գործերը (Թիբերիու Օլահ, Ժան Ֆրան- սիս, Հյուբերտ Շտուփներ, Պետեր Էթվոշ, Էդիսոն Դենիսով և այլ կոմպոզիտորներ)։ Թողարկել է բազմաթիվ CD-ներ: 1996-ից ելույթներ է ունենում Նիկոլաուս Հարնոնկուրի հետ, ինչպես և իր քրոջ Սաբինայի հետ: 2004-ից համագոր- ծակցում է Կլաուդիո Աբադոյի հետ Լյուցեռնի փառատոնային նվագախմբում։ Վ.Մայերը հանդես է գալիս իբրև մենակատար և կամերային անսամբլների կազմում աշխարհի տարբեր երկրներում։
Wolfgang Meyer

Wolfgang Meyer was born in Crailsheim (Germany). He has studied with Otto Hermann in Stuttgart and Hans Deinzer in Hannover. Since 1989, Mr.Meyer is a Professor at the Hochschu- le fur Musik Karlsruhe, from 2001-2007 the Rector of this conservatory. As solo clarinetist he is a devoted performer of works by contemporary composers such as Tiberiu Olah, Jean Francaix, Hubert Stuppner, Peter Eotvos und Edison Denissow. A number of CDs have been released with the recordings of Wolfgang Meyer. Since 2004, he is regularly collaborating with his sister Sabine as well as conductor Nicholaus Harnoncourt. In 2004, he performed under Claudio Abbado and with the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. Mr.Meyer appears worldwide both as a cham- ber musician and soloist with the orchestras.
Jonas Alber
conductor (Germany)
Jonas Alber, born in Offenburg, Germany in 1969, studied the violin and conducting in Freiburg and Vienna. In 1995 he was awarded a scholarship by the Herbert von Karajan Foundation. He was appointed General Music Director by the Staatstheater Braunschweig in 1998, thus beco- ming Germany's youngest conductor in a position of this kind. Jonas Alber has directed renowned orchestras inlcuding the Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio, the WDR Sinfonieorchester Cologne, the MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig, and the Dresdner Philharmo- niker. Around Europe he has worked with the Flemish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Belgique, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Gran Canaria Philharmonic among many others.
In the 2006/07 season Jonas Alber made his debut with The Hague Residentie Orkest in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, followed by his debut with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in Birmingham's Symphony Hall. Upcoming engagements include his debut with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Saarbrucken, the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, and he is reinvited to conduct the Residentie Orkest Den Haag. Jonas Alber has made numerous recordings, such as the complete symphonic works of Robert Schumann, and the symphonic works of Mendelssohn, Richard Strauss and Sibelius. He recently made broadcast recordings with the WDR Sinfonieorchester of works by Respighi, Saint-Sauns and Ravel, as well working with the MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig on selected overtures by Beethoven. As an operatic conductor, Jonas Alber has nurtured traditional reper- toire ranging from Mozart to Puccini and Richard Strauss. As guest conductor, Jonas Alber has directed the Frankfurt Opera, Berlin Opera, Vienna Volksoper, the Brussels Theatre Royal de la Monnaie (operas by Schreker, Britten, Orif, Schmidt).

In Armenia he studied with Armen Mesropian, in the U.S.A he received Master's degree in music and Artist diploma of the Yale University with D. Finch and A. Pariso. Prize-winner of numerous competitions, among them: Markneukirchen International Competition(1986,Germany),All-Soviet Union Cello Competition (1988), Yale University Competition (1993,USA).From 1995-1997 was Principal Cellist at New West Symphony Orchestra. In the period of 1995-1997 was a founding member of the Madison Festival of Music in Wisconsin (USA) and a frequent guest artist in mu- sic festivals including Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, Alaska (USA). He joined the Komitas Quartet in 2000. Assistant Professor in chamber music, cello and early music departments at the Yerevan Komitas Conservatory.

Սկսած 1998-ից է. Թոփչյանը որպես հրավիրյալ դիրիժոր Եվրոպայում ղեկավարել է սիմֆոնիկ հա- մերգներ և օպերային ներկայացումներ: 2000 թվականի հոկտեմբերից նա նշա- նակվել է Հայաստանի պետական ֆիլհարմոնիկ նվագախմբի գեղարվեստական ղեկավար և գլխավոր դիրիժոր:

Eduard Topchjan conductor (Armenia)
Eduard Topchjan was born in Yerevan in 1971. As conductor he has received valuable consultations from Sir George Solti, Claudio Abbado and Nello Santi. Mr.Topchjan is the Principal Conductor of the ensemble "Serenade" since its foundation in 1991.From 1998 he has directed various symphonic concerts and opera performan- ces in Europe. In October 2000, Eduard Topchjan was appointed Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra.He has realized concert performances of the operas "Aida", "The Barber of Seville", "II Tabarro", "Madama Butterfly", "Simon Boccanegra", "Otello", "I Pagliacci" and "Rigoletto".

Born in 1972. Graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory and postgraduate courses (class of Prof.A.Bogdanian). Since 1993, Karmen is the member of APO (from 2006 as orchestra con- certmaster). Starting from 2003, Karmen Tosunyan participates in all international tours of the World Symphony Orchestra under Valery Gergiev. She regularly appears in various concert programs as well as in chamber music concerts.

Yuri Zhislin

Born in 1974. Yuri studied the violin at the Moscow Gnessin Music School for musically giufted children and later at the Royal College of Music with his father, Grigori Zhislin and Dr. Felix Andrievsky. Yuri is a Laureate and major prize-winner of various international competitions: the Carmel Competition in California, Premio Trio di Trieste in Italy, Pablo Sarasate in Spain and Douai Violin Competition in France among others. He appeared in major concert halls through- out the world, performing at the Wigmore Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Purcell Room, the Concertgebouw and gave recitals and performed with various orchestras in his native Russia and in the UK, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Spain, France, Germany, Yugoslavia, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Yuri has made a number of recordings and appeared in live broadcasts on the BBC Radio Two, Radio Three and various classical networks throughout Europe and the USA. The conductors Yuri colaborated with include Olari Elts, Barry Wandsworth, Alexander Markovich, Yakov Voldman, Alex Walker and Maximiano Valdes among many others. Yuri is in high demand at the international festivals around the world. He appears as a soloist and a chamber musician in festivals throughout the UK: Bath, Chichester, Cheltenham, Windsor, Ulverston, and the Asturias Festivities (Spain), Cadaques (Spain), Seattle (USA), Baku (Azerbaijan), Hohenems (Austria), March Music Days in Rousse (Bulgaria), Varberg (Sweden), Pharos (Cyprus) and in Gensac (France) among others. As a violist, Yuri regularly appears in a String Trio with the eminent violinist Dmitry Sitkovetsky and outstanding cellist Alexander Chaushian. Yuri is a founder and Artistic Director of the Russian Virtuosi of Europe - an ensemble that brings together some of the finest Russian musicians who are now based in Western Europe. He is an Artistic Director of the Evaristo Valle Interna- tional Music Festival in Spain and professor of violin at the Royal College of Music in London.

Natalia Lomeiko

Born into a family of musicians in Novosibirsk in 1979. Having studied at the Special Music School in Novosibirsk she continued her musical training at the Yehudi Menuhin School in England with Lord Menuhin and Prof. N. Boyarskaya, at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music with Prof. Hu Kun. Natalia has already established herself internatio- nally as a regular performing artist. In the recent years she has won prizes in the Menuhin International Violin Competition in 1993 and 1995 (Folkstone, England), the Tibor Varga Inter- national Violin Competition in 1997 (Sion, Switzerland), the Antonio Stradivari International Violin Competition in 1998 (Cremona, Italy), the Tchaikovsky International Violin Competition in 1998 (Moscow, Russia), winning the Gisborne Music Competition in 1999 (Gisborne, New Zealand), the Young Musician of the Year 2000 Competition, the Concerto Competition (New Zealand), also receiving the Gold Medal and the 1st Prize in the Premio Paganini International Violin Competition (Genoa, Italy) in the same year. In 2003 Natalia won the 1st prize in the Michael Hill International Violin Competition (Auckland, New Zealand).
Natalia has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in such prestigious venues in London as the Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Buckingham Palace, the Barbican and the Royal Festival Hall. She has performed chamber music with such distinguished musicians as Gidon Kremer, Yuri Bashmet, Boris Pergamenschikov and Tabea Zimmerman as part of the Kronberg Academy. She has toured the Great Britain, Italy, France, Germany, Finland, Russia, Poland, Spain, the USA, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Singapore, Japan and New Zealand. Natalia is often invited to perform solo and chamber music at various Festivals around Europe such as Paganiniana, The Tuscan Sun, Sansepolcro and many others. CDs have been released with her recordings to a high critical acclaim. Natalia Lomeiko has appeared as soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Lord Menuhin, the Philharmonia, the Singapore Symphony, the New Zealand Symphony, the Christchurch Symphony, the Bilkent Symphony, the Tokyo Royal Philharmonic, the New European Strings, the Kronstadt Philharmonic and the Nice Philharmonic among many others.
The 2007/2008 season includes her performances in Russia, Australia, New Zealand and other countries.
Philippe Cassard piano (France)
Philippe Cassard has established an international reputation as concerto soloist, recitalist and chamber musician since giving a joint recital with Christa Ludwig in Paris in 1985. The same year he was finalist at the Clara Haskil Competition and in 1988 he won the first prize in the GPA (now AXA) Dublin International Piano Competition.
His concerto appearances include performances with the London Philharmonic, Royal Philhar- monic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra, English Chamber, BBC Phi- lharmonic, Orchestre National de France, the Hungarian National Philharmonic, Danish Radio Symphonic... He has worked with many conductors including Jeffrey Tate, Vladimir Fedossejev, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Raymond Leppard, Charles Dutoit, Armin Jordan, Marek Janowski, Em- manuel Krivine, Thierry Fischer... Philippe Cassard has done several recordings: Debussy's complete piano work, chamber music, and songs by Beethoven, Schubert, Debussy, Janacek and Faurn. For Deutsche Grammophon he has recorded with the cellist Matt Haimovitz and for Hyperion Records, Jean Francaix's Concertino. His last recording with solo pieces by Schumann was awarded Gramophone Editor's Choice and FM Magazine "Best Buy". A recording of Schu- berts Impromptus will be released in Spring 2008 (Universal).
His performance of the complete piano works of Debussy (four recitals in a single day)received extremely enthusiastic press and media coverage. He has performed the cycle in London Wigmore Hall, Dublin, Paris, Marseille, Lisbon, Sydney, Vancouver, Singapore and Tokyo. He also visits China, Australia and Canada regulary. Alexander Chaushian cello (UK)
Alexander Chaushian started to play the cello at the age of seven, studying with his grandfather Alexander Chaushian Sr and Zare Sarkisian. From 1992 to 1995, he studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Melissa Phelps and from 1995 to 1999 at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London as a student of Oleg Kogan. In 2003 he pursued advanced studies at the Hochschule fur Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Boris Pergamenschikow and later with David Geringas.Chaushian is the First Prize winner of the 1990 Premio Mozart Competition (Verona) and the 1992 International Music Competition in Holland. He received the Guilhermina Suggia Gift in London - a grant awarded to outstanding string players. In 1997, he was awarded the Orchestra of New England Soloist Prize, as well as the first Summis Auspiciis Prize of Young Concert Artists. He is a joint recipient of the Pierre Fournier Award. He was awarded the third prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition, the 3rd and special prizes given by the Munich Chamber Orchestra at the Internationaler Musikwettbewerb der ARD. As a soloist with orchestra, Alexander has performed with many orchestras worldwide, including the Boston Pops Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Philharmonia Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande,the Royal National Orchestra of Belgium, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, The Academy of St Martin's in the Field and others. Alexander Chaushian has perfomed at a number of prestigious venues like the Boston Symphony Hall, Vienna Konzerthaus, New York Carnegie Hall, London Wigmore,Queen Elizabeth, Royal Festival and Barbican halls, to name a few. Chaushian has given recitals at many international Festivals. From 2002 until the present he has acted as the artistic director of the Orpheus and Bacchus Festival in France and of the International Pharos Chamber Music Festival in Cyprus. Alexander Chaushian has collaborated with many distinguished musicians such as Levon Chilingirian, David Geringas, Yuri Bashmet,Gidon Kremer and many others.

Emilio Pomarico, conductor (Italy)
Emilio Pomarico, Italian conductor and composer, was born in Buenos Aires in 1953. He got his musical education in Milan, later attending master-classes given by Franco Ferrara (Italy, Siena, academia Musicale Chigiana) and Sergiu Celibidache (Munich, Germany). As conductor he has worked with main Italian orchestras, such as RAI, Radio Symphony Orchestras of Milan, Turin and Rome, Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, Orchestra Regionale Toscana, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro alla Scala. He is regularly invited to conduct the most prominent European orc- hestras, such as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Frankfurt Opern, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and many others. Emilio Pomarico has participated in a number of important festivals as the Festival d'Automne a Paris', Biennale Musica di Venezia the Edin- burgh International Festival, the Salzburger Festspiele to name a few. Composer himself, Mr. Pomarico devotes much time to the performances of contemporary music. As opera conductor, Emilio Pomarico conducted in May 2006 a successful production of the Wagner's "Rheingold" at the Teatro de Sao Carlos in Lisbon. His further engagements include guest conducting of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI Turin, the WDR Sinfonieorchester Koeln, the Hessischer Rundfunkorchester, the Bavarian Radio Orchestra in Muenchen, the Opera de Paris, the Schoenberg Ensemble (Amsterdam), Klangforum Wien. Emilio Pomarico has been awarded two 1st International prizes for composition, among which the prestigious "G.B.Viotti" (Italy). In the course of years, his works have been performed at the most important festivals in Italy, France, Germany, Austria and elsewhere). Mr.Pomarico is a Professor of conducting at the Accademia Ineternazionale della Musica in Milan (Italy).

Yana Daryan, viola (Armenia)
Born in 1971. Graduated from the Yerevan Conservatory (class of Prof.S.Khachatryan). In 2000, she has participated in master classes given by Walter Levin, Thomas Kakuska and Bruno Canino. Yana has worked with the Essen Philharmonic and Yerevan Symphony Orchestras. Currently she is a member of the APO and "Serenade" Chamber Orchestra. Yana Daryan regu- larly appears in chamber music concerts with various programs.

Yevgeny Sudbin piano (Germany)
Born in St. Petersburg in 1980, Yevgeny Sudbin displayed exceptional musical talents from an early age and in 1987 entered the specialist music school of the St Petersburg Conservatory. In 1990 he continued his studies in Berlin and then moved to London where he studied with Christopher Elton at the Royal Academy of Music, additionally attending the International Piano Foundation at Lake Como, Italy. He has also had lessons from Murray Perahia, Claude Frank, Leon Fleisher, Stephen Hough, Alexander Satz, amongst others. The Pulvermacher Foundation and the Wall Trust have also played an important role in Yevgenys career Yevgeny has performed extensively throughout the world. He has appeared with several of the world's most distinguished orchestras, and performed at venues such as the Musikhalle, Hamburg, the Gewandhaus, Leipzig and Konzerthaus, Berlin; the Salle Gaveau, Paris; the Sala Verdi, Milan; as well as London's South Bank Centre and Wigmore Hall. He has performed at music festivals throughout the world, and is a frequent participant at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland where his most recent recital received enthusiastic reviews. His love of chamber music has led him to collaborate with many other musicians including the Chilingirian Quartet, Ilya Gringolts, Hilary Hahn, Julia Fischer, Sharon Bezaly and Alexander Chaushian. During 2006, besides concerts in Europe and Scandinavia, he toured Canada and USA to great acclaim and made his New York debut in The Frick Collection Series. Future plans include concerts and recordings with North Carolina Symphony, performances with Minnesota Orchestra, and San Francisco Symphony, as well as dnbuts at the Aspen Festival, USA, and La Roque d'Antheron Festival, France. He will also return to New York for a recital at Metropolitan Museum Piano Forte Series. Further projects for the BIS label include recordings of Scriabin's solo works and Weinberg sonatas for cello and piano with Alexander Chaushian which are due to be released shortly.
Ashley Wass
piano (UK)
Ashley Wass studied at Chethams Music School and won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music to study with Christopher Elton and Hamish Milne. He has spent three summers as a participant at the Marlboro Music Festival, playing chamber music with musicians such as Mitsuko Uchida, Richard Goode and members of the Guarneri Quartet and Beaux Arts Trio. Wass has given recitals at most of the major UK concert halls including the Wigmore Hall, Symphony Hall, the Purcell Room, LSO St. Luke's, Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Sage, Bridgewater Hall, St. David's Hall, and at the festivals of Bath, Harrogate, Cheltenham, Brighton and the City of London. His has appeared with many famous orchestras such as the Philharmonia, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and others. Wass has also worked with Sir Simon Rattle and the CBSO, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the London Mozart Players, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Philharmonic. Future engagements include concerts with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Sinfonia Viva, the Portuguese Symphony and the London Mozart Players, recitals in Amsterdam, Cyprus, Lisbon, Istanbul, Chicago, Mexico City, St. John's Smith Square, Wigmore Hall, the Sage, St. David's Hall, Bridgewater Hall and LSO St. Luke's. Ashley is also much in demand as a chamber musician and, in 2007, will tour the USA and Europe with violinist Sarah Chang, appearing at venues such as Philadelphia's Kimmel Center, La Jolla, Dublin's National Concert Hall and Carnegie Hall in New York. He is also the Artistic Director of the Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival. Ashley Wass' recordings on EMI and Naxos labels have received the highest critical acclaim.

Julia Fischer

A student of famed violinist Ana Chumachenco, Julia Fischer is herself Germany's youngest Professor of Violin at the Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main. In 2005 she won Germanys coveted 'ECHO Award for her recording of "Russian Concertos" by Khatchaturian, Prokofiev and Glazounov. Julia has appeared with many prestigious orchestras under celebrated conductors. The singularly most anticipated event of the 2007-08 season will be Julia Fischer's debut as a professional pianist. On a program where she will also play the Glazunov Violin Concerto, Ms. Fischer will perform the Grieg Piano Concerto on 1 January 2008 with Sir Neville Marriner at the Alte Oper Frankfurt. Julias wide range repertoire includes concertos by Beethoven, Dvorak, Shostakovich (No.1), Prokofiev, Sibelius, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Mozat and other composers. Highlights of the 2007-08 season include symphonic appearances with Marek Janowski, Jun Markl, Yakov Kreizberg, Neville Marriner, Christoph Poppen, Tugan Sokhiev, Yuri Temirkanov and Maestro Zinman (among others) with Czech Philharmonic, Danish Radio orchestra, Dresden Philharmonic, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Vienna Symphony and other orchestras. In the United States Ms. Fischer will tour with Maestro Temirkanov and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic. The season also includes numerous recitals throughout Germany, Spain and Italy in additional to chamber music programs in the United States and Europe. Looking to summer 2008, Ms. Fischer will make several important debuts: Tanglewood Music Festival, Blossom Festival, the BBC Proms at London's Royal Albert Hall and the Tuscan Sun Festival in Cortona, Italy. During the 2007-08 season PentaTone Records will release Julia Fischers third volume of Mozart (Concertante and Concertone) with Maestro Kreizberg, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and soloist Gordan Nikolic (viola and violin).
Chloe Hanslip
violin (UK)
Born in 1987. Chloe Hanslip studied at the Menuhin School with Natasha Boyarskaya between the ages of five and seven, at Yehudi Menuhin's personal invitation. Subsequently she continued her studies with Zakhar Bron in Germany, with Salvatore Accardo in Italy, and most recently with Gerhard Schulz of the Alban Berg Quartet in Vienna. She is recognised for her contribution to Maxim Vengerovs TV Master Class. Chloe performs in the leading British concert halls, and in the Carnegie Hall, the Louvre and Salle Gaveau, the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, the Mu- sikverein in Vienna and the Seoul Arts Centre. She made her BBC Proms debut in 2002, her American concerto debut in 2003, followed by debuts with Mariss Jansons and the Sympho- nieorchester des Bayerischer Rundfunk in the Gasteig, Munich. She has also performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Philharmonia, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, Royal Scottish National, Halle, and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras, the City of London Sinfonia, Malaysian Philharmonic, Czech National Symphony, Belgrade Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and many others. In 2005 she received a personal invitation from Seiji Ozawa to attend his inaugural Chamber Music Festival in Blonay, Switzerland, and she has also performed at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland. She is a regular participant in Open Chamber Music at Prussia Cove, working with Steven Isserlis and Gerhard Schulz. She has performed for the Duke of Edinburgh in Windsor and Greenwich, given the European premiere of Sir John Taveners Ikon of Eros, and the first performance of the first extract of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Phantasia on Phantom of the Opera. She has recorded two CDs with the London Symphony Orchestra on the Warner Classics label, the first of which won her the 'Echo Klassik Award for Best Newcomer in Germany in 2002 and the second, Bruchs Violin Concertos Nos. 1 and 3, Young British Classical Performer at the
Classical BRITS 2003.

Լևոն Չիլինկիրյանը ծնվել է Կիպրոսում։ 1960-ին ընտա- նիքով տեղափոխվել է Լոնդոն: Երաժշտական կրթությունը ստացել է Royal College of Music-ում, որի պրոֆեսորն է ներկայումս։ Նրա առաջին դասատուներից էր իր հորեղ- բայրը՝ Մանուկ Փառիկյանը և Հյու Բինը։ Շահել է BBC Beethoven Competition-ի Առաջին մրցանակը (1969) և Munich Duo International Competition-ի Առաջին մրցանակը (1971)։ Մենահամերգներով և դուետի կազմում հանդես է եկել Եվրոպայի երկրներում: 1971-ին կազմակերպել է Չիլինկիրյան կվարտետը, որը ճանաչում է ստացել ավելի քան 50 երկրներում։ Նվագա- ցանկն ընդգրկում է կվարտետային գրականության ամբողջական ցիկլեր: Լ.Չիլինկիրյա- նը լայն գործունեություն է ծավալել նաև իբրև մենակատար և սիմֆոնիկ նվագախմբերի ընկերակցությամբ: Կատարել է ձայնագրություններ, որոնք արժանացել են քննադատնե- րի բարձր գնահատանքի։ Համագործակցել է Սթիվեն Իսերլիսի, Սըր Էնդրյու Դեյվիսի, Թադակի Օտակայի, Ջերեմի Մենուհինի, Ուիլյամ Մքվայքերի, Անի և Իդա Կավաֆյան- ների, Ալեքսանդր Չաուշյանի և այլ անվանի երաժիշտների հետ։ Վարել է BBC հեռուստատեսության կազմակերպած՝ տարվա երիտասարդ երաժիշտների վարպետության դասընթացը: Լ.Չիլինկիրյանը ելույթներ է ունեցել BBC Symphony, London Philharmonic, Bournemouth, Liverpool Philharmonic, Scottish Chamber, Bergen Philharmonic, Armenian Philharmonic, Russian National Orchestra և այլ հայտնի նվագախմբերի հետ։ Պարգևատրվել է մեդալներով և ստացել մրցանակներ։ 1996-ից հանդիսանալով Camerata Roman նվագախմբի մենակատար և դիրիժոր, Չիլինկիրյանը մեծ դեր է խաղացել Շվեդի- այի երաժշտական կյանքում։ Նա Mendelssohn on Mull փառատոնի գեղարվեստական ղեկավարն է։ Հայաստանում երկու անգամ կազմակերպել է ջութակահարների՝ Չիլին- կիրյանի անվան մրցույթներ։

Հու Կունին: Վեր- ջինիս ուսանողն էր նաև Royal Academy of Music-ում։ Մասնակցել է Լորդ Մենուհինի, Դմիտրի Սիտկովեցկու, Մայա Գլեզարովայի, Մաքսիմ Վենգերովի և այլ անվանի երաժիշտների վարպետության դասընթացներին: Ներկա - յումս կատարելագործվում է պրոֆ. Levon Chilingirian violin (UK)
Levon Chilingirian was born in Cyprus. When the Chilingirian family immigrated to London in 1960, Levon concentrated on the violin, studying at the Royal College of Music where he is now a professor. His early influences in music were his uncle, the violinist Manoug Parikian and his teacher Hugh Bean. His long-standing partnership with Clifford Benson was launched by winning the first prizes in both the 1969 BBC Beethoven Competition and the 1971 Munich Duo International Competition. Recital appearances have taken the duo to most European countries. In 1971 Levon formed The Chilingirian Quartet with three other ex-RCM students. The Quartet has held residencies at Liverpool and Sussex Universities and is currently attached to the Royal College of Music. It is one of the most active and celebrated string quartets on the international scene with a wide-ranging quartet repertoire. It has toured to over fifty countries on six continents. Levon Chilingirian was invited to give the String Master Class for the BBC TVs Young Musician of the Year and has appeared as soloist with the BBC Symphony, London Philharmonic, Bournemouth, Liverpool Philharmonic, Scottish Chamber, Bergen Philharmonic, Armenian Philharmonic, and Russian National Orchestras. He has received the Cobbett Medal, the Royal Philharmonic Society's chamber music award and, in January 2000, an OBE in the Queen's Honours List for his "services to music". Chilingirian has collaborated with a number of famous musicians, such as Steven Isserlis, Sir Andrew Davis, Jeremy Menuhin, Tadaki Otaka, William McVicker, Ani u Ida Kavafians, Alexander Chaushian to name a few. He has recorded many critically acclaimed CDs. By playing and directing the Camerata Roman, Levon has become an important part of Swedish musical life since 1996. In Armenia, Chilingirian has organised two competitions for young string players since 2000 and in May 2002. Levon Chilingirian is also the artistic director of the Mendlessohn on Mull festival.
Alexander Sitkovetsky
violin (UK)
Alexander Sitkovetsky was born in Moscow in 1983 into a family with an established musical tradition. He was invited to become a pupil at the Yehudi Menuhin School where he studied with Natalia Boyarsky and Professor Hu Kun. He continued his studies with Hu Kun at the Royal Academy of Music. Alexander participated in Master classes given by Lord Menuhin, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Maya Glezarova, Maxim Vengerov and others. Currently Alexander is studying with Professor Pavel Vernikov. Together with Lord Menuhin he has performed the Bach Double Violin Concerto, as well as Baroks Duos. In 1996, Alexander played Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in Budapest with Lord Menuhin conducting. Alexander has performed in many international mu- sic festivals throughout Europe, including the Radio France Festival, the Festival Internationale des Jeunes Solistes in Antibes, the Festa Torino, the International Music Academy in Tours, the Music Festival in Oldenburg, at the Verbier Music Festival and Academy in Switzerland, at the Tuscan Sun Festival, and the Mecklenburg Vorpommern Festival.
He has been featured as a soloist at many famous venues throughout Europe, including The Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, St. John's Smith Square in London, Salla Verdi in Milano, Palais des Congres in Antibes and others.
He has released CDs on Angel Records (a part of Capitol/EMI Classics group) and on other famous labels. Alexander is also an accomplished composer. His two orchestral ballet scores were premiered in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Dance in 1995 and in 1999 at Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. He has given a solo recital at London's Royal Festival Hall, as well as debut performances in New York where he appeared at the Frick Collection Series partnered by Bella Davidovich. Alexander has collaborated with the Moscow Chamber Orc- hestra under the baton of Constantin Orbelian in the concert tour throughout Germany, Italy, Russia and Japan. In 2006-2007 he made his debut with the English Chamber Orchestra, the Southbank Sinfonia, the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

"Narekatsi" Chamber Orchestra
The Chamber Orchestra of Narekatsi Cultural Society was founded in 1997. The orchestra's artistic director is Aram Talalyan, cellist, senior lecturer of the Yerevan Conservatory. "Narekatsi" Chamber Orchestra is a devoted promoter of the works of Armenian and foreign composers. It is constantly realizing various projects with the Armenian composers living abroad. Recently, the orchestra participated in the "Return" Festival held in Yerevan.

Հիմնադրվել է 2003-ին: Նրա գեղարվես- տական ղեկավարն է Երևանի կոնսերվա- տորիայի դոցենտ, թավջութակահար Արամ Թալալյանը: Քառյակի կազմում են Երևանի կոնսերվատորիայի երիտասարդ շրջանավարտներ ջութակահարներ Լուսի- նե Աղաբաբյանը և Ջեմմա Աբրահամյանը, ալտահար Լիլիթ Մխիթարյանը և թավ- ջութակահար Աշխեն Գասպարյանը: Քառյակը իրագործել է հայ և արտասահ- մանյան կոմպոզիտորների գործերի առա- ջին կատարումները: 2007-ին քառյակը հրավիրվել է մասնակցելու "Pablo Casals"

"Linos" String Quartet

The “Linos" Quartet was established in 2003. The quartets artistic director is Aram Talalyan, cellist, assistant professor of the Yerevan Conservatory. The quartet members are graduates of the Yerevan Conservatory Lusine Aghababian (violin), Jemma Abrahamian (violin),Lilit Mkhi- tarian (viola) and Ashkhen Gasparian (cello). "Linos" has premiered the works of Armenian and foreign composers. In 2007, the quartet was invited to participate in "Pablo Casals" Internatio- nal Festival. The quartets performance was broadcasted by Radio France.

Հիմնադրվել է 1991-ին` Երևանի կոնսերվատորիայի և Չայկովսկու անվան ՄՄԵԴ-ի մի խումբ սովորողների ջանքերով։ Գեղարվեստական ղեկավար և դիրիժոր Էդուարդ Թոփ- չյանի ղեկավարությամբ նվագախումբը շուտով ճանաչում ստացավ Հայաստանում և Եվրոպայի մի շարք երկրներում։ Սկսած 1992-ից «Սերենադը» համերգներով պարբերա - բար հանդես է եկել Ֆրանսիայում, Գերմանիայում, Իտալիայում, Հունաստանում, Շվեյ- ցարիայում և Ավստրիայում` մասնակցելով միջազգային փառատոների։ Հատկապես հի- շատակելի են Փարիզում, Հռոմում, Ամստերդամում, Վիեննայում կայացած համերգները` Բեռլինի ֆիլհարմոնիկ նվագախմբի մենակատար ֆլեյտահար Էմանուել Պահուդի մաս- նակցությամբ և Համբուրգի Musikhalle-ում տեղի ունեցած ելույթը։ 1995-ին Հռոմում կայա- ցած «Valentino Bucchi» միջազգային մրցույթին «Սերենադը» արժանացել է 1-ին մրցա- նակին: Մինչ այդ, կոլեկտիվն արդեն բարձրագույն գնահատական էր ստացել 1994-ին Իտալիայի Վալզոլդա քաղաքում տեղի ունեցած մրցույթում։ Եվրոպայում է Թոփչյանը ղեկավարել է «Սերենադի» ավելի քան 900 համերգ: «Սերենադ» նվագախմբի հետ հան- դես են եկել Սթիվեն Իսերլիսը, Թիբոր Վարգան, Քիմ Քաշքաշյանը, Ռոլանդ Դայենսը և այլ անվանի երաժիշտներ: Թողարկվել են 6 CD-ներ՝ Շյոնբերգի, Վիվալդիի, Շուբերտ - Մալերի և Է. Միրզոյանի ստեղծագործությունների ձայնագրությամբ (Thorophon ֆիրմա):
<<<SERENADE» CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
"Serenade" was founded in 1991 through efforts of a group of students of the Yerevan Conserva- tory and the Tchaikovsky School of Music. Soon, the orchestra under the leadership of its artistic director and conductor Eduard Topchjan was acclaimed in Armenia and then in several European countries. Since 1992 the "Serenade” has toured extensively to France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Switzerland and Austria, performing at various international festivals. Among the most memorable performances were those in Paris, Rome, Amsterdam and Vienna with the solo flutist of the Berlin Philharmonic_Emmanuel Pahud, as well as concerts at Hamburg Musikhalle. In 1995 the “Sere- nade" won the 1st Prize at the Valentino Bucchi International Competition in Rome. Prior to that, in 1994 the orchestra topped the contesters' list at the competition in the Italian city of Valzolda. E Topchjan has led more than 900 concerts of the “Serenade" throughout Europe. Many renow- ned musicians, such as Steven Isserlis, Tibor Varga, Kim Kashkashian, Roland Dayens have performed with the ensemble. The orchestra has released 6 CDs with the works of Shoenberg, Vivaldi, Schubert-Mahler and E. Mirzoyan on Thorophon label.
