Dilijan Central Library named after Ghazaros Aghayan

This is one of the oldest public libraries in Armenia, located in the city of Dilijan, with a history of more than a century, founded in 1908. It initially operated within a parish school, later became an independent cultural institution, and eventually developed into the city’s central library. Over the decades, it has grown into an important educational and cultural center serving not only Dilijan but also nearby communities. Its collection includes Armenian, Russian, and world classical literature, scientific and professional books, as well as modern publications. Historically, the library has also been a meeting place for intellectuals and has played a major role in the cultural life of the city. Today it continues to function as a key part of the community library system, preserving long-standing reading traditions.
